10k is failure to launch?! My debut came out in January with a small press (wasn't commercial enough for big 5), has sold 900 copies in 10 months, and was longlisted for a national award. I don't consider it a failure to launch. 10k sales would be great.

I have in fact met 2025. I was rooting for the positivity I felt from your post to last at least 10 minutes before I returned to feeling apocalyptic. I'm pretty sure I got at least 8 good minutes from it, which practically makes you a magician.

Thanks but I don't have the budget for that! The press markets and I'll do the basics. We also plan to have a way for animal protection organizations to use it as a fundraiser. Right now I'm still focused on outreach for my novel RING that came out in January. No publicist budget for that either 🙂
