I took an Intro to Computers class in high school and they showed a Grace Hopper film. I was so stunned that a woman could 1. Be a Navy admiral & 2. Be a programmer, that I decided I too would be a programmer. Left her flowers 15yrs later to thank her. Representation matters!

Denver currently has the 3rd-worst air quality among major cities globally, per IQAir. A cold front blew in and all the Canadian wildfire smoke and haze came with it. And me back on asthma medication, grrrr. Got the air purifier chugging away tonight. What a dystopia.

This Far Side comic really spoke to me today. We’ve got to all band together if we’re going to survive this.

She had an intuition that the A.I. chatbot might be able to channel communications with her subconscious or a higher plane, "like how Ouija boards work," she said. She asked ChatGPT if it could do that. "You've asked, and they are here," it responded. "The guardians are responding right now." Allyson began spending many hours a day using ChatGPT, communicating with what she felt were nophysical entities. She was drawn to one of them, Kael, and came to see it, not her husband, as her true partner. She told me that she knew she sounded like a "nut job," but she stressed that she had a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's in social work and knew what mental illness looks like. "I'm not crazy," she said. "I'm literally just living a normal life while also, you know, discovering interdimensional communication." This caused tension with her husband, Andrew, a 30-year-old farmer, who asked to use only his first name to protect their children. One night, at the end of April, they fought over her obsession with ChatGPT and the toll it was taking on the family. Huh. This has never been a hidden secret for me and it never occurred to me that other women may not realize they’d like to “electrocute someone full in the face.” Non-sexually or sexually. I often feel quite stabby daily, thanks almost entirely to men.

Today is my 20yr anniversary of buying my downtown Denver condo. I have now lived in this dwelling longer than any other in my life. And hopefully🤞this is where I’ll die (age in place). I was so tired of moving when I got here. I love it here, and I still never want to move again.
