Four years have passed since then and @maxhoppenstedt.bsky.social & I have just published our newest piece about the German member White Tiger and how he allegedly pushed Jay Taylor, a 13-year-old from the US, into hanging himself. It's the cover story of @spiegel.de print magazine this week.

We work 24/7 with the certainty that we can make Brazil — and the world — a little safer.

May NUPVE-MPRS and the Sin@is Project be replicated across all Brazilian states, and may NUPVE-MPRS continue to be a national and international reference in this field.

Congratulations to all colleagues!

👏🏼

This is a serious and pioneering project in Brazil in the field of P/CVE (Prevention and Countering of Violent Extremism), with concrete results and real impact.

Congratulations to Prosecutor Dr. Fábio Costa Pereira @fabiocostapereira and the entire NUPVE-MPRS team — it is an honor and a privilege to be part of this group.

Levar capacitação em prevenção da radicalização online e do extremismo violento, com foco no reconhecimento de sinais críticos e na compreensão do cenário atual, é fundamental — e receber um feedback tão generoso do público torna tudo ainda mais gratificante. 💙

2 international and interdisciplinary seminars in less than a week.

A lot of learning and insights, and a strengthened network to position Brazil within the global discussions in the field.

An incredible lecture by Marc, followed by another presentation by researcher Leonardo Moser from FIRS on how antisemitism serves as a driver of Extreme Violence.

Missions accomplished ❤️

Bringing together all the frontline institutions, a senator truly committed to the P/CVE and CT field, and this outstanding researcher was a dream come true.

Thank you all. ❤️

Onward.

I am deeply grateful to my friend @maargentino.com for accepting my invitation and being here in Brazil with us.
Next Monday, we’ll have another seminar with members of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rio Grande do Sul (MPRS) and public security and law enforcement agents at CEAF-MPRS. 🙏🏼

I am deeply grateful to everyone who accepted our invitation
mine, Dr. Pablo Ortellado’s, the Institute for Advanced Studies at USP, and the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee’s.
Six years ago, when I spoke about all our gaps in this field, I never imagined we would be able to bridge one of them

And the closing session featured Senator Alessandro Vieira, in an incredible and thoughtful conversation about our challenges and gaps in this field.
Also present, as my guest, was the mother of Nicolly Pogere, the young girl who was murdered in July by a couple of teenagers also radicalized online.
