This is a good excuse to remind everyone of one of my favourite interactive experiences, from 2012, Bear71 (VR not required). It’s about data collection of wildlife in the rockies, dangers of grain spills on rail tracks, our responsibility to protect nature, etc. Bear71vr.nfb.ca

Explore the intersection of humans, nature and technology in the interactive documentary Bear 71. Questioning how we see the world through the lens of technology, this story blurs the lines between th...

Everyone in your replies just muddying the waters with suggestions not backed up by historical fact. Not helpful! Just making Oliver Stone’s work in uncovering the truth harder

FYI "The Game Awards" is a ridiculously commercial enterprise, an advertising event more interested in showing trailers for upcoming games (that pay hundreds of thousands for the privilege) than recognizing the talent of developers. Anyway, I could go on but it's sad that this is the Oscars of games

Sorry to say the thing you explicitly don’t want, but while Yowamushi Pedal features high school teens it’s really only about the races so the school stuff kinda fades into the background. It rules.

Do you say it the same way you say “prince” without a P? If so then you’re probably doing a normal UK accent thing. I don’t think people pronounce those two words differently

That’s basically my understanding of (neo) Luddism. We need more Luddites who love technology setting policy. I think Doctorow more or less argues that without using the term Luddite in his Enshittification book. theconversation.com/im-a-luddite...

Right, the last time Britain sent a Scottish-born act was 1969 if I’m reading this correctly. Can’t see Quebec settling for even a population representative entry every 5 years

But will the one act we’re allowed to send be from Quebec or English Canada? Talk about increasing tensions. Will be hilarious if Eurovision becomes a factor in more young people embracing Quebec separatism

I have never seen any data or studies on the public health benefits of more evening light equalling more outdoor play/exercise and less flu/covid transmission. I suspect they’re not insignificant. Will flu season be extended with year round Standard Time? Standard time boosters need to consider this
