Been getting a lot of emails from "certificationforlaravel(.com)" pushing Laravel certification. It doesn't say if it's actually anything to do with @laravel.com which I'm guessing means it's not. Just some scam or actually worth it?

Been working on a project with Laravel and Vue recently. Haven't worked with Vue for 6 months or so but coming back to it feels amazing 😊 Obviously different from building React frontends but I feel like it's giving me techie hugs 🤗

I'm having more clients ask for projects built with specific technologies which never used to be a thing. As long as it worked, solved their problem and was stable, nobody really cared what it was built with.

If you're a software developer and you see something that you'd really like to learn and use, are you then put off that it's not used much in the real world? If so, does that mean you're happy sticking to the usual 'tried and tested'? What would be your risk vs reward ratio in using something new?
