Muriel Minter (1897-1983) was an intriguing and comparatively unheralded contemporary of Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore at the Royal College of Art. Though more in the manner of Giorgione than Moore, Minter took an interest in the reclining figure in this rare etching from 1929

JMW Turner and changing visions of landscape at Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery, centred around the acquisition of Turner's Walton Bridges, is not to be missed. There's much to enjoy, including many Turner loans from private collections, Claude, Canaletto and this jewel-like Claughton Pellew.

A lovely walk along the Yare to UEA Broad and Sculpture Park, coming across Caro, Moore, Frink, Edwards, Ivan Morison's installation and a heron (small h).

at Tate Britain may be an uneven exhibition but its canvas is huge, even without going into the inter-war period, which would have strengthened the 20th century sections. However, there were a number of painters I hadn't caught up with, and there's clearly much work still to be done.
