Unfortunately. And not by much.

It’d be amazing if, say, PBS acquired it, or it automatically fell into a public fund owned by all U.S. taxpayers that received residual revenue from it, like UBI. And considering Netflix is a global brand, that would be a nice ROI, like $200/per taxpayer, annually.

I will say, I prefer it over Paramount acquiring it (which is now owned by David Ellison, son of Larry Ellison, who owns & co-founded Oracle, the surveillance tech company that genocidal regimes & law enforcement agencies utilize to violate human & civil rights).

Netflix is still trash though.

Who isn’t acknowledging that?

You inferred it’s not an issue.

No one asked you to apologize for that. 🤨

But by not acknowledging colorism is a thing, you’re deliberately ignoring a whole other layer of bigotry, and the privilege that comes with being light skinned. And I say that as someone who’s light skinned. Yes, we’re black, but we’re treated differently.

The closest I could find that fit the look of the photo was a Candelabra LED Light Bulb E12, but it might be any of those options in the screenshot, not just the E12.

Maybe if you had framed your response like this, and not the way you did, you wouldn’t have gotten dragged as bad as you did.

Agreed, colorism is awful. But it’s also important to acknowledge that it favors light-skinned folks.
