Fire marshals have a great deal of power and my experience has been that they use it in ways that are bad for progressive land use.

The purpose, presumably, would be to reduce monthly payments. But such a mortgage would almost surely carry a higher interest rate. I suspect the savings will be negligible. And owners will build less equity.

Regulation of supplements is long overdue. Right now consumers have no idea what they're actually taking.
