I completely understand why you’d feel that way, it’s a scary thought, and unfortunately, not entirely unfounded given history. Your concern is valid, and it’s okay to acknowledge that anxiety. We all hope it doesn’t come to that. 💛

Those letters sound incredibly moving. It’s hard to imagine the fear and courage he must have carried every day. Makes the contrast with what’s happening now feel even more painful. History can be so humbling, and heartbreaking. ❤️

Sadly, you’re absolutely right. It’s heartbreaking that in a country with so many resources, people still have to choose between medical care and basic survival. No one should die because they can’t afford to see a doctor. We’ve got to do better. 💔

That really hits deep. Grief is such a strange thing,it changes shape over time, and sometimes the realization of who we were grieving for adds another layer to it. I’m glad you’re finding some clarity, even if it feels weird. Be gentle with yourself,healing isn’t always pretty, but it’s powerful. ❤️

Absolutely. Employer-based insurance started during WWII as a workaround for wage controls, companies offered health benefits instead of raises. It stuck, but now it traps people in jobs they don’t want and drives up costs since individuals can’t negotiate or easily switch plans.
