Late-summer GBI group trip jointly with the @kylemojo.bsky.social SMI team: 1) hiking to viewpoint over the Neckartal, 2) passing Stuttgart formation sandstone quarry, 3) walking along marvellous "Märchensee" hosting endangeoured frog species, & 4) finishing with a great barbacue: a local highlight!

Man. tinyurl.com/ympthbv3. Pretty clear: volcanic soils are different & abiotic #nitrogen fixation is central for them

Congrats: looking forward to first outcomes of your new CT
