I did have Ukraine in mind, but the goals are not (yet) about the climate. This might start to change when some countries start starving.

I wonder when the paradigm shift from "oil is a necessary evil" to "fossil fuel facilities are terrorist infrastructure and need to be bombed" will happen in liberal economies.

Concerns about bubbles are blown out of proportion... If it looks like the Onion, talks like the Onion, walks like the Onion, what kind of joke is it?

That's also very interesting! History of science is fascinating, and sometimes I think that it should be taught instead of physics in high school - because we need to start with the process, not the (dumbed-down) end result.

Of the maxwellian kind (without the demons), with colors that is!
Some call it optics.

Mainstream right: "Oh but it was just a roman salute!". No, no, no, that's not OK. We need to teach our kids, even if we become an ideological minority. Real moral values don't flip with public opinion. My grandfather didn't fight the nazis so that I could welcome them back to the town hall.

Of course we're OK :)... Ah, such a blessing to be on the "woke" side- we can agree and have a civilized argument, and be thoughtful about who we offend... while others discuss how many missiles a fisher boat should receive, or in what order parents or babies should be sent to Guantanamo. Sad times.

Ouch, that was a stern lecture. I hope that trying to be witty didn't cause unnecessary offense. Truth is that the algorithmic eggs scared the **** out of me and I chickened out.

Thanks! I hesitated with "If you're not paying for the egg, you're the duck" but that would've been lame.

Computer people would call this an easter egg.

I don't see the point of the whole discussion when the first strike wasn't responding to a threat either.

Can you please elaborate?
(genuinely curious about both sides of the debate)
