The number of triangles and vertices sickens me.

A pedal of this caliber deserves 2x the number you gave it. 🙃

I see we share a brain cell. ☺️
I'm loving #TacticsOgre (PS1) so far. 3/4 of the way done. Game is a masterpiece. ❤️

The music, for one, is epic. Even the title screen is a banger. THIS is how you start a game right. #ps1 #gaming

(it starts softly - wait for the strings and chorus to drop!...)

"If all your little advertisements aren't purged from our systems by the time I get back from the Gamma Quadrant, I will come to Quark's, and believe me, I will have fun. "

Heck yeah. Do what you're good at!👍

Alright, I think I see what you're getting at. Almost sounds like you want a visual-novel aspect to your game. Or something like The Stanley Parable with an actual narrator character.

And yeah, that could work. It's kinda mixing genres and so there's extra things to consider, but sure why not?

Honestly, I think a lot of devs aren't trying, either. A lot of these short videos are about extremely trivial content which imo took ~10 minutes to program in. And yet they get 1000+ likes. It's kinda wild. 😵‍💫

This is something I need to work on too...

Right now I'm planning to have the top and bottom parts just be black. One with the subtitles and one with the "wishlist on steam" bit.

My game lacks intense zany eye-candy action though. So I'll just focus on the interesting things it does have. ^^

Did I just watch a giant frog get Falcon-knee'd? 😁

It's an interesting space with lots of details. Really does look like it would be fun to explore.

I think this might be your most complex background yet?

I think it depends.

If the protagonist is a blank slate/stand-in for the player, then yes you'd want the player to have a choice re:what is said.

But if the protagonist has their own personality, regardless of the player, then I think it's fine to let them speak for themselves.

Seems like a show-dont-tell situation.

Instead of describing the character being an a-hole, you can convey that by how the character speaks and acts.

Maybe the protagonist could briefly comment (ie, "Wow. Seriously?") so we get her take too. But ideally character personalities are shown not told.
