I've been loving the look on students' faces the past few years when I try to explain how transformational it is, even as I recognise that something you can do on your phone can only feel ordinary. Crazy text transcription lady is not where I thought I'd be, but here I am

Yeah, transcribing handwriting is so engaging! I've been worrying about this since 2014 or so. Luckily folk like @snblickhan.bsky.social and Zooniverse are tackling some of these big existential questions
