You're right. No movie could compete with that in 2004. LOTR were properly three movies, though and it was fitting to reward the overall artistry on movie #3. Like the Hobbit, Wicked was broken up not for art, but for commerce. Could have been much better single movie. Don't reward avarice.

There is a massive scandal brewing that Russia authored the purported American "peace" plan and this is your coverage? Bet this disappears off your pages after 24 hours.

They are going to ensure that troops are on the ground there and elsewhere in October and November, 2026 - because that's when they're going to ramp up and do what they gotta do to commandeer those polling sites in cities.

@nytimes.com had access into all of this in real time and reported none of it. Why?

Come on. This was done with Schumer's blessing. Nobody's being punted from anything. They waited until the election was over, and the least vulnerable (retiring or election-wise) fell on the sword for the caucus.

Unacceptable, unforgettable cowardice and WEAKNESS. This was orchestrated - vote 'em out and put real fighters in there...the country needs somebody who will, you know, stand up.
November 10, 2025 at 5:03 PM
so so so weak
November 10, 2025 at 4:47 PM
Cowardly. Weak. Coordinated weakness by the party. This will be remembered. You need to quit or be primaried. How much did the private interests, airlines, etc. donate to your coffers???
November 10, 2025 at 4:44 PM
Not true. This was coordinated to let retiring sens take fall. You are responsible. Weak. Betrayal. Go home and let the brave govern.

Terrible horrible no good political strategy, optics, and instinct. Terrible for your constituents. To appease donors? Weak. You should be voted out. Go home and let the brave govern.

This provides useful context for decisions made by the Democratic party in last year's campaign and convention.

Honestly not surprising. She's firmly an establishment D. With few exceptions, senior D's have been thoroughly disappointing since the election. Their inability to take a stand, break with tradition, or communicate in an electronic/social media world, has had devastating consequences
