With hindsight, afforded by the many incidents involving B737s & their particular variant ( -3
& -7B) of the CFM56 engine, I am concerned that insufficient attention was paid to the design of that engine and its evident reliability deficiencies.

I was acquainted with Nick Stevenson & his business partner Chris Thompson as a customer at Surf Mountain.
On the Monday following the Kegworth crash I flew from Gatwick to Vancouver, a clear morning, & as my aircraft routed north I could clearly see the accident sites at Kegworth & Lockerbie.

Any updates are being distributed via the ‘MH370 Families’ page on Facebook, I checked earlier & nothing new since Monday’s update. Not at all consistent. The vessel’s progress with the AUVs looks good. Considering the planned arrival at Fremantle/Henderson the passage will begin midweek.

Indeed. Potentially, a considerable sum, potentially. Now, splitting their content into multiple streams. Multiple audiences, multiplying the ad views.

I expect to pick up details again Saturday (UTC tz).
IRL ‘distractions’, there’s only so much one can ignore!

By coincidence than design.
The vessel track doesn’t reflect what the AUVs are doing.
The AUVs are ‘mowing the lawn’ on the seafloor tracing paths more or less parallel to the seventh arc.
As A86-05 is repositioning between the AUV nav/progress checkpoints it is crossing through one small area.

movement to manoeuvre away from the long, heavy, vessel umbilical via its light weight tether. Potentially, obviating a need for heave compensated umbilical winches. The TMS may provide 100s of metres of tether length.
(Details, details, details, not considered in trite narratives).

@benjohn65.bsky.social's image (above), has been added to Armada 78 01. At present, it's conducting a subsea infrastructure inspection survey.

Again referring to Ben's image, the component immediately above the ROV is a 'top-hat' Tether Management System.

We can safely 'wet store' the notion that ROVs have been mobilised on Armada 86 05.

At present Armada 78 01 & 78 06 are operating in the European North Sea area, each with a heavy duty work class ROV launched through their moonpools.

An 'over-the-side' LARS, similar to that depicted in

Deduction! The speed is known, the launch points/release to line, rendezvous/nav checkins can be identified with adequate AIS.

Pulling that together with the Ocean Infinity published search areas (red boundaries), IG-Ulich priority area (white), final AUV sorties of 28th Mar (yellow) & today's A86 05 track.
I'd previously assumed restart point to be closer to 'Recovery 28T12:17' whereas grey shaded area is unsearched.

This second image depicts the present vessel trajectory (yellow), the planned seafloor search areas (red) & IG-Ulich priority search area (white) straddling the 7th arc line-of-position (purple).
