Unsurprisingly, the autistic child without food or medication had a full panic attack.
Her dad arrived at the emergency room for the handoff to the hospital, took in the situation, and lost his temper at the staff. This of course made everything much better.

Welp: after not letting her take any of her medication‘s or eat anything for eight hours because she might need emergency surgery, they have suddenly decided to send her home. But they promised this was actually a medical decision, and it’s just a coincidence that the hospital is out of beds.
