I mean - on the face of it as a stand alone trade, I don't like it as we've traded for a 35yr old on the slide. However it can only be judged after the entire offseason moves have been made. We must be acquiring an OF as there's only 1 really good bat there on the entire roster in Soto.

Generally felt the roster needed blowing up after last season & tbh bar Soto, Lindor, McLean & Diaz I can live with losing any of the rest. McNeil surely is a prime candidate to be moved & Senga too. We couldnt roll out last years roster again but the lack of a no1 Starting Pitcher remains glaring

I loved it when Howie said that as kid, it seemed like the new Mets team had been created as a present for him. That said, after that first season, you have to wonder if he was thinking of giving that gift back 😆 This was so good. Howie could chat about the phone book and I'd still want to listen
