I think the Tentei arc is probably where Hara's artwork peaked in the original Fist of the North Star series.

Earlier today, I found a sketch by artist Curt Swan from 1993.
There have been many Superman artists over the years, all of them fantastic, but I'll probably always hold Swan as the definitive artist for the character.
His Superman looked more like he was capturing the likeness of a real person.

Ken looks so good here, they got Hara's current style down pat plus his colour work.

Now it's time to go through them, considering their first arcs have all concluded. To reiterate, I love all of these books – they've been so good to read. If one is lower for me, it's only the tiniest margin imaginable.

Forgot to detail my thoughts on the third issues but Absolute Supes took the win for me again (Kal's relationship with Krypton here is the best it's ever been depicted), with Absolute Wonder Woman being my second favourite.

I've only ever watched the animated series, so I don't what to expect! I'll write up my thoughts at a later date.

Once again, fantastic books – all of them! My tiers haven't changed, Absolute Supes is still on top for me especially because of that second issue. Kal and Lois' dynamic together was great, and that first flight scene was awesome with that Sunstone cape.

To give some context, this quote is from a series of articles/interviews done with Hara for his then-upcoming art exhibition. He talked about the hardships of working on Fist of the North Star there on his health.

Excellent quality and presentation, it's a very nice edition – convinced to get the other DC Finest Supes books when I can, arguably the best way to collect his old stuff currently without being too costly.
