A.k.a trying to compassionately help them deepen their understanding. That is atleast if they are actually a good faith actor... If not, then I guess you're more talking to everyone else witnessing that conversation, and trying to help anyone who holds a similar view, develop a better understanding.

Great question! Imo a good way is to relate to their POV, understand (or remember, as you have likely been through the same stage too) why they think as they do, and then weave their concern/insight (there's a seed of truth, even if it's distorted) into the bigger picture seen from higher stages.
