The Dems deserve everything bad that is coming their way. Too bad they dragged America and possibly the entire world down with them.

This economics PhD student and computer researcher fed Bob Dylan’s official discography from 1962 to 2012 into a large language model to analyze his work and get at his emotional truths.

Today I walked by a baffling protest. As far as I could figure out, they were protesting PETA for genocide and maybe this has something to do with Israel?

In academic terms, "working paper" means not final. Researchers post these papers to obtain feedback or comments prior to submitting the article for review and publication. My understanding is that MIT was in that process and several academics submitted comments.

I've just heard from academics that the MIT piece was a pre-publication working paper that invited feedback prior to submission to an academic journal. It was not a final piece. They are baffled at the criticism. @gossithedog.bsky.social

The website for the working paper now it clarifies this:

It's just broken - I just spent an hour of my time trying to register a new account, and it is simply unable to handle the task.

Nothing about it is working. I was trying to set up a new account because it could not handle my old account. Also, check out this security question stupidity:

While we're on the subject of inaccurate AI results, and I meant to post this the other day, Google's AI results that appear above search results said I could take either the Green Line or the Red Line on the Washington Metro to get to Columbia Heights. The Red Line does not go to Columbia Heights.

I think Trump is using the DoJ to persecute those he thinks are his political enemies, but I do have to say Bolton made some interesting choices in sending his family the notes he made as national security advisor. And he was using AOL email in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021? No wonder hackers nailed him.

Really interesting piece on the impact of court injunctions against publishing data stolen by threat groups.

Bottom line for HIBP is that Hunt can't include the data in his system, to the detriment of victims and organizations.

DC's Mayor Bowser has simply got to go, folks.

She's complicit in what Trump is doing to our city and our democracy. I dearly hope she has no plans to show up at this year's high-heel race as if she were a friend to the city.
