Meandering on an ancient sea, beneath an eternal rainbow.
Reading The Odyssey at the moment, in the midst of heatwaves. Like those sailors, I seek refuge from the heat of the midday Sun, but I bask in the gentle zephyrs of the αιρκων, a breeze they never knew, and slowly my mind wafts ever closer to Ithaca.

I’m trying to stay sane and for this reason am currently unable to be as engaged about trans issues as I have been since Alice died. However…

I’ve seen the petition demanding the UK government bans the puberty blocker trial for trans youth.

PLEASE READ ON there’s only one of me but 1000’s of you

I think that 'al dente' is Italian for 'bite harder'. On a side note, cooking pasta on an electric stove is onerous. I guess that any cooking is harder on an electric stovetop. At least I won't gas myself.

This is not who we are. I became an ICE agent because I truly believed in the value of getting a $50,000 signing bonus to violently assault and terrorize anyone I wanted while never getting in trouble for anything. Being held accountable conflicts strongly with my deeply-held personal beliefs

A Voyage to Arcturus is a favourite book of mine. The Haunted Woman was also good. They are, to me, contextually similar to The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch.

I'm wondering if it's possible to make croissants using softish cheese instead of butter.

I don't know dick about law, but I find their argument strange cause misgendering can be disruptive to cis students as well. Repeatedly calling a cis-boy who isn't "masculine" a girl to harass him seems like textbook bullying.

It feels like they're being purposefully dense to attack trans people.

I recall a wonderful restaurant I went to in Paris, Chomps en Elysee, or something like that.

Thinking of creating a new game, called “Steps and Adders”. It’s like “Snakes and Ladders”, but the snakes are venomous, just like some social media abusers, and you can’t climb very high because high-rent/high-mortgages always hold you back. It might also have crabs, which try to pull you down.

“I trust my immune system. I don’t need a vaccine.”

Ok, I trust mine to protect me too. Which is why I trained it extensively on what the virus looks like so it can handle it.

Boxers don’t enter the ring without a plan. It’s the punch you don’t see coming that knocks you out.

I tried some goat’s milk. I think it might take me a while to get used to it. Also, I notice cow’s milk can have a different smell depending on the vendor. Macro organic milk has the worst smell.

Bluesky is slow to load. It used to take a few seconds, but lately pauses for several scores of seconds before becoming usable.

Australia has just enacted a ban preventing children under 16 from using social media.

Predictably, tech companies hate it. Privacy advocates warn it might push young people into less regulated corners of the internet.
