At last night’s council meeting Merton Labour repeated the claim they "cleaned every street every week".

But by "cleaned" they don't mean "swept" - and they won't say how often pavements and roads are swept.

There is currently no Women's Health Hub serving any Primary Care Network in Merton.

Tonight, we’re asking Merton Labour when women in our area will have the same access to specialist women’s health services as they do in other boroughs.

Merton is the only borough in South West London without a Breast Cancer Screening Centre.

Tonight we’re asking Merton Labour what progress has been made on this delivering this, using funding allocated 3 years ago.

It’s shocking that uptake for free NHS Health Checks in Merton is barely half the London average.

Councils have a responsibility for residents’ uptake.

Tonight, we’re asking Merton Labour how this rate can be improved.

Merton doesn’t have a Women’s Health Strategy.

Merton’s Local Health & Care Plan 2022–24 doesn’t mention women at all.

Tonight, we’re asking Merton Labour & Merton Tories to back our plan to make women’s health a priority.

Merton’s young people say mental health is their top priority.

Supporting our motion is Labour’s chance to show they take this seriously.

We want to put young people at the heart of support programmes & bring charities, schools & experts together.

It's been far too long since Labour launched these flagship consultations.

No feedback, no action, & not a single penny spent.

This culture of delay shows that Labour can't be left in control.

We're always hearing that young people get stuck in the cracks between childrens' and adults' mental health services.

We've asked what Labour council bosses are doing to help.

We want to ensure every child in Merton has a secure home.

Concerningly, figures from the end of last year showed were 931 children living in temporary accommodation, 40% of them for >2yrs.

We've asked the Council to give the latest update & outline how they will address it.

St Helier's estimated repair costs are 12 times the amount put on the table by the Labour Government.

Is this all that Labour in power - locally and nationally - can deliver?

We’re deeply concerned that Wimbledon is in the top 5% of constituencies affected worst by unemployment claims since Labour came into Government.

We’ve demanded answers from the Council's leadership on how it’s come to this & how they can help.

If Labour's future welfare cuts target only new claimants, it could divide our community and leave some unfairly treated.

We want to know how the Council will ensure support reaches everyone who needs it locally.
