Published in 1955 The Chrysalids by John Wyndham is my favourite book. Growing up I felt lost and alone on my own this book gave me hope that there were others like me & one day I could be rescued & live my life just being happy - I never was rescued, I just learnt to accept me as me

I really like PGtips tea, nice and "strong" with two spoons of sugar & drank hot and whenever I go to drink it I keep hearing "Tea the best drink of the day💛" which Dad always used to say and now I completely agree with him - I wonder if it good childhood memories that guide our taste in later life

Please shut the gate after you have gone through ©️merimaat 9 December 2025. I was completing this, I noticed an impression of a path, so I put the gate on the painting just for "fun"

Our road has been closed now and not surprised as you would not think it was 10:03 as it is so dark out side - glad we are not going out and got those sandbags yesterday evening - Douglas prom is also going to be closed

Been raining constantly since 01:00 hours, just the weather forecast informed us it would do and now the wind is gradually starting to get louder. Still dark outside at the moment so can not see what the effects are, just hope everyone stays safe #iom

9 December 1960. The first episode of ITV’s Coronation Street, the world’s longest-running TV soap opera, was broadcast. The programme was created by Tony Warren, and centres around the fictional residents of Coronation Street, a cobbled, terraced northern street in Weatherfield.

With the Red weather warning in place we got some sandbags just in case, as there is a saying, better safe than sorry. The last time that I remember there being a red warning our road was closed off and many had sandbags on their door fronts.

I had a basic idea about this painting and I was getting towards completing it, it looked not quite complete so I added the white which made it look better. I am pleased with the result. ©️merimaat 8 December 2025

This morning a skeletal hooded figure helped me scrape my car windscreen.
It was only later I realised I'd been de-icing with death...

Just been to Kellas and had. a nice scone with jam and cream and a pot of tea. We have booked for a lunch on the 17th so hope it is really nice, if so it might be an easy south place to go to rather than going into town for a meal
