Yeah, I think it's a good idea to have a central location for people to find authors, especially a place that is under the author's control (unlike social media sites!)

None of the characters were likeable but I still liked the book. I haven't seen the movie. When I saw trailers for it, I thought the casting was perfect for the leads. I could easily picture Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne.

I'm not sure how typical this is for the average reader, but I rarely visit authors' websites. (Unless I'm doing research for an interview. Then I scrutinize them and their social media feeds.) Like I said, I don't know if that's unusual or not among the big-reader & book-buying demographics.
