Mercy derives its lycanthropy from the benevolent beast in Irish folklore, the Faoladh. This creature has been reported bringing food to the hungry, safely returning the lost to their villages, and serving kings.

Mercy is a half-Faoladh, half-Werewolf hybrid, and its pack’s Alpha.
Start ID. A very busy digital artwork of Minecraft Mercy, a main character of the original work “Spooks.” Mercy’s torso is slightly forwards, and its hands meet behind its back. It wears a deer skull with long antlers, concealing the eyes but not a toothy smile. Braids of deep pink hair run down the shoulders, and a teal collar with pale yellow spikes rests around the neck. Wings of a stylised elytra fold out, with simple dark chevrons on the inner surface and soft sakura pink implied on the back, based on an official cape in the game. The character’s weapon severs its own silhouette, with the hilt of the Ice Dragonsteel Sword level with the face, and the tip ending beneath the viewer’s-left wing. Rising from the same wing is a purple-tinted bow, with bright lime highlights that reflect the feathers of the arrows in Mercy’s hip pouch. The clothing is all placeholders, but the skirt is loosely inspired by the feathers of Amphitheres, a mythical half-bird serpent that comes in five different colours in the game. Decided to draw these guys on a whim last night for a profile picture!! It’ll probably be these guys for a while <3
Did you know people can buy stars?!! And that people bought adjacent stars and named them Satoru and Suguru?!?!!! That’s image 1’s context.

Start ID: Image 1. Satoru and Suguru, two Jujutsu Kaisen characters, drawn as their plushie selves from image 3. They’re holding hands (sort of, LOL. They have little plushie stubs for hands), as they drift in deep space. There’s a soft glow around them, mimicking the glow around all of the stars spilled like salt behind them. Colouring the background is a simple splattering of green, purple, and indigo. (The purple is actually just indigo affected by the stars’ glow, but don’t tell anyone. We can pretend to have variation). The purple is a natural and warm colour, that feels like velvety petals. The green is more punchy, like waves of warm tropical waters rushing around you. It was inspired by the aurora borealis but it refused to look like one lol. The indigo is a harsher colour still. It feels like standing outside and reaching your hand into the rapidly cooling air of twilight. The sky is split diagonally with one river-like streak of blue and one of purple. The artist watermark says “Mercy” amidst the highlights on Satoru’s glasses. End ID. Start ID: Image 2. Satoru and Suguru plushies in the same pose, still holding hands. This time they’re at the beach. The glow around them is gone and has been replaced with flowers nestled behind their ears: Satoru has 3 bunched together, and Suguru has one slightly larger flower with the stem and a leaf visible. (They totally picked each other’s flowers.) The flowers are sky blue, with indigo tips to each of the six petals. Along the centre line of each petal, the indigo spikes towards the centre of the flower. The flower centres are quite deep, and emerging from them are orange pollen stems, tipped with yellow pollen buds (whatever flower anatomy is called). The beach consists of textured blocks of colour. In the implied foreground, what the characters are standing on is sand. It looks like it would resemble felt a bit more than sand. In the shallow waters, the betta fish (who are NOT drawn to scale) are drawn as if they’re levitating. Whoops. Suguru’s fish is either a crown betta or suffering from fin rot. Its main body colour is the navy blue of the rest of the lineart, with a soft scaly texture outlined in solid blocks of warm purple. It hovers by Satoru, with puppy-dog eyes and a small heart. Satoru’s fish is elegant and white, and just as enamoured with Suguru. It even has a second heart. Its healthy fins and tail resemble the frills of a wedding gown. The sea behind them is an array of white, cyan, purple, and lavender. The white is seafoam, weightless as whipped cream. The cyan is the main colour of the water, giving it a tropical warmth. The purple is deep and magical, and the lavender is a dull, grounding colour. The artist watermark says “Mercy” amidst the highlights on Satoru’s glasses. End ID. Start ID: Image 3. A photograph of Satoru and Suguru as plushies, taken with flash in a dim room. They’re their teenage selves, before or during the events of Hidden Inventory (Suguru hasn’t lost his button yet so it’s not after). They both look at peace. They’re both pulling the cat face :3 (being dead serious!! They are!!). Because they’re plushies, they’re being held up for the photo, so Satoru’s hand is concealed by a few fingers, and overall he looks like he’s in a chokehold. He’s not and he’s fine. Start ID: Image 1. More or less complete pastel sketch of a front-on tiger. It’s a portrait: a close-up on the face that includes some of the shoulders. The tiger has gentle, endearing features including soft, gentle rounded edges and slightly enlarged eyes. The tiger consists of three main colours, all of which are loud: fluid shades of orange that feels like a desolate dryness, but equally like the warmth of Summer, white that embodies cold emptiness, yet also an inviting presence, as it punctures the mysteriousness, stillness and silence of the black that frames the face with dots and stripes, makes up most of the ears and chin, and forms a void around the eyes. The tiger’s eyes are the focus of the piece, they consist of little strikes from countless colours of pastel in an attempt at blending. The outermost rims of both irises have a punch of deep crimson, acting like a sunkissed black. It has a high enough contrast to enable the brightness within to shine, whilst adding saturation of its own in order to not leave the outline to be consumed by something akin to black. Surrounding the pupils, there are miscellaneous shades of haunting natural greens, wild and dangerous oranges lined with subtle dashes of red, amber like the fur, small but vibrant punches of yellow like the chimes of songbirds or ripples made by fish as they strike the surface of water. Finally, there is one highlight of pure white per eye. The poor tiger is currently surrounded in marks from cleaning the pastels off from blending. These will be scratched off and coloured over with green, white and brown as is in the reference. End ID. Start ID: Image 2. The stock image reference the pastel tiger was traced from. It has a sturdy face and a calm demeanour. The background consists mostly of an out-of-focus green, a pale wall, and the trunk of a slim tree. Its loud, wild colours allow it to contrast greatly against its backdrop, which looks to be a conservation park. End ID.
