Firefighters onboard MV ONE Henry Hudson have taken the term surround and drown to a new level with 80% flooding of cargo hold #3 in which the burning containers were contained.

Crews are piercing any containers with hot spots to cool. The scene has been turned over to the salvage company.

Oil tankers, gas and chemical tankers make up about a third of the world's fleet.

Even if we shift over to renewable, bulk material like copper and other minerals will increase and we are seeing that with the growth of the bulk fleet.

Today's World Maritime History class Campbell Univeristy pitted half the class (the British Grand & Battlecruiser Fleets) against the German (High Seas Fleet and Scouting Group).

For first ten months of 2025, the port is 4.1% ahead of 2024.
