Will we wait to see whose side they're on before offering grief or defensive arguments for those who have fallen? Will we hear that a person was slain and decide whether or not to care based on some kind of scale of righteous morality? Aren't there situations in which murder should be decidedly bad?

If there are mermaids, but instead of fish, it was shrimp, would the top or bottom half be shrimp? Would the other half be a girl or fish? 🧜🏻‍♀️🦐🐟 (I delight in the idea of a fairy sized mermaid, but wonder about the logistics... 🤔)

Hot Take: We should stop obsessing over unconditional love and expecting to receive it from others. It's wonderful to be seen and be loved for our true selves, but being held to a standard of decency, which may differ for every relationship, is important. Don't forsake values for love.

A strange thought: those arguing against property destruction as a statement are those who would be fine with arbitrary taxation as a colony.

Days after reuniting with his family, the Trump administration has once again detained Kilmar Ábrego García and now plans to deport him to Uganda — a country he has zero connection to — as retaliation for not accepting the government's plea deal.

This vindictive cruelty must end.

Sometimes, I feel like a shitty person for this, and it feels like a hot take: reading commentary on someone's appearance always feels gross... even if that person is the epitome of evil. It makes me feel bad to think like that because they certainly deserve to doubt themselves.

In reading one of those historical romance comics, I started thinking about the common scene where women are in the competitive cliques and at odds with each other. I chalked it up to internal misogyny, but did I really take the time to consider why, along with its implications?
