I wish but after the great recession republicans were able to at least tie on the issue by 2012, to stop it we need to stop the media from giving them the beneft of doubt as the buisness party.

This would be a good time to risk loseing the filabuster in a feburary shutdown battle. The house will be razor sharp and Trump might be in the 30s in approval next year. Some bills would be tough to pass this house.

Donald Trump is the most pro billionaire and pro-white collar crime leader of the past 100 years. I would sincerely, ask what can Trump do that would make him lose his populist stance.

So many leftist pundits will give more beneft of the doubt to Trump than the median democrat. This is really dumb now seeing how pro billionaire Trump has been this term.

To be fair this move and community notes are good things for a social media site that non-Musk owned sites should try.

It was bad for dems last year, but the media and Trump convinced a lot of people that beating inflation was not wages beating prices but full blown deflation.

Matt, do you think Carney wins if Donald Trump did not sabotage the conservative Canadian party by saying he was going to try and annex Canada.
November 19, 2025 at 12:38 AM
I think people use this argument agaisnt you because they tried to move to the right on trans and immigration issues to neutralize attacks where they thought polling was weaker and this did not work at all. Starmer is more unpopular than any American president in history.

This is a serious question, is there anything stopping Trump from just altering the files.

Is there any sing of it happening internally, I don't think there is a Venezuelan rebel group like in Syria or Myanmar.

The first step of fixing a problem is admitting you have one. So many pundits on the left and center-left think insulting the press makes you look whiny or arrogant.
November 14, 2025 at 6:35 PM
Dem politicians need to start insulting the press directly for how bad the coverage is. Think of how republcians talk about non-FOX cable for years.
November 14, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Honestly, Dems should complain more that Tara Reid is pretty much a Russian spy; she fled to Russia. Could you imagine if Trump's reaction if an accuser of his like, ran off to live in China
November 13, 2025 at 8:25 PM
Marc, good on you for mentioning this, but if you have any political contacts, politicians you know, try and get them to complain publically. I think Dems need to be publicly mad at bad coverage to get the media environment more in their favor.

Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris.

If you are a republican, that's got to me adding insult to injury as of now, Larry Summers is the top Democrat connected to Epstein.

With her, Massie, and MTG, I have to admit the conspiracy theory right is more consistent with morality than groups like the Freedom Caucus, who only care about the debt when a democrat is president.

Most rich executives hated Lina Khan more than they hated the basics of law and order being undermined.

I think a historical epic about Vlad the Impaler vs. the Ottoman Empire would be a hit. I think people would be interested in the inspiration for the Dracula story.

Donald Trump ran for president three times before the press started to cover Epstein and him a lot. If anything, it was biased that it took so long.
