while in Iowa for a wedding, I was able to stop by @raygunsite.com in Iowa City and picked up a few things.

Words cannot properly express how overwhelming it feels and how grateful I am for the level of support from my staff, performers, and audience in the aftermath of our first iteration of Batture Contemporary. There is a lot more to come this season and next, and I can't wait to share it.

backlighting here sucks, sorry. Our tall cat tree was against a different wall initially, but Nightwing wasn't using it much. it was clear how much she liked looking out our windows, so we moved the cat tree next to one in our living, and now she practically lives on it

a family member recently asked, "What sort of candidate should run on the Democratic ticket? Which way should the Democratic party go? Socialist, Progressive, Centrist, Liberal, etc.?"

This was my response:
What I really want for president regardless of political ideology is someone that is committed to putting in more safeguards that prevents any future president from being able to successfully force feed their agenda whether it's something that I personally agree with or not. Progressive and socialist policies are what I lean towards, but I think it's more important to prioritize the protection of our democratic foundations and the balance of power that's supposed to occur between the various branches of power-holders. Otherwise we're just creating a see-saw of power struggles that will have collateral damage across the entire political spectrum

one of the weirdest ways I've ever used #MaxMSP was to create a patch that randomized whenever I wanted to go from long-haired to short-haired
a graphical interface of boxes, buttons, and wires. A big button chooses a number based on the "target range". If that random number matches the "target number", a message pops up saying "Time to Chop!" Otherwise, it says, "Hair, you live another month!"
