Got this book as a 40th-birthday gift...
Maybe this time I’ll finally move up the rankings - or at least stop blundering my queen in the first ten moves.

Everyone says they’re different. No one admits they’re scared to be.

New day, same chances.
Half taken, half postponed.

You earn it by acting like no one else is coming to save you.

🇵🇱 Real freedom doesn’t shout.
It just doesn’t wait for permission.

Be careful what you call independence.
Sometimes it’s just avoidance with good PR.

🇵🇱 Independence isn’t just a story about nations.
It’s about what happens inside one person — quietly.

Between “I’m gonna crush it” and “It’s gonna crush me” lies an entire spectrum of states.
The point isn’t to pick one — it’s to know where you are.

Both try to help you improve — one does it sincerely, the other honestly.

Doing less, but better.
— That is the plan. Or at least, the mood.
