Progress on the project while I was gone:

The other designer put notes on other pages in the flow that the SOW didn’t asked for.

Other Designer didn’t touch my work.

No studies on effectiveness.

No metrics or analytics.

9 weeks.

But just didn’t do enough on a rush project.

This boss is also dazzlingly vague. Challenge assumptions how? Is there a way to document that process or is it just being an asshole in meetings?

Only when I really pushed against being contrarian as a rule did he pull out that the devs were uncomfortable with my process. I 100% didn’t get that vibe.

Today I was told I didn’t challenge assumptions “enough.”

Had three meetings with devs and they started coding stuff as we were working. They seemed quite happy with our solutions in the moment. Fuck this contrarian noise.

He’s been there 5 years

I got to see some of his What Is Jazz at XOXO Fest in 2019. It was a surprise set. I loved his comedy ever since. Excited to watch this special.

The kills and scares have some really creative takes. Reminds me of Nightmare on Elm Street.
