I like scrolling your profile any time I feel kinda pent up or frustrated because it lets me think like... Wow, at least I'm not embarrassing myself with how frustrated I am like that!

Good job, you look really desperate!

Indeed, it’s a bit worse than that.

Trans Kids Deserve Better, a small organisation founded and led by trans kids, every day leaves hand made coffins outside his constituency office representing the children transphobia is killing.

You can find this project on Instagram @KidsAreDyingWes.

But we can't find any meetings he has disclosed with affected external individuals - no “families” (plural), “children” (plural), or “young people” (plural).

And we can see that he has once met with some trans groups “to discuss LGBT+ policy issues”. openaccess.transparency.org.uk?meeting=106247

If we look at the meetings Streeting has disclosed we can see he met with a bunch of transphobic hate groups. openaccess.transparency.org.uk?meeting=106250

I turn to the second claim made by Wes Streeting, that he has had many meetings with trans organisations, their families and children.

Fifth, the clinical advice actually given was that the measures concerned an "extremely vulnerable group, liable to self-harm" and "it would cause a larger patient safety issue to force them to stop treatment... than it would to allow them to continue."

Fourth, what Streeting’s predecessor was actually told about the ban was, there was a "high risk of unanticipated consequences. This may include harm to patients".

Streeting adopted the ban almost immediately he became health secretary.

What about the actual advice Wes Streeting was given?

First, nowhere in her report does even Hilary Cass recommend banning puberty blockers or assert they are a serious danger to health. Here is Wes Streeting’s own lawyers agreeing with my characterisation.

Kemi Badenoch's other point is that Britain “has taken a global lead when it comes to banning puberty blockers.” Or, as I put the same point yesterday, we are "a serious international outlier in how we approaches healthcare for young trans people.” bsky.app/profile/joly...
Background: the UK is a serious international outlier in how it approaches healthcare for young trans people. All over the world Governments are declining to follow the policy based evidence making of the Cass report. I believe we now have the most hostile regime anywhere in the world.
