A mock up of an emulation front end, like the above post, this time the menu mentions NES titles - the right hand side menu is different in that it brings up all release dates instead of just one, and on the bottom there are button prompts for actions relating to the selected title.

considering Some Of The News Today, i wanted to mock up my own take on a front-end for retro games and keep it as simple as possible.

probably something like it exists but eh i wanted to design something today lol
A mock-up of an emulation front-end, with the two primary colours being a dark, de-saturated blue and a bright beige. The left half of the screen uses the dark blue as a backdrop, with prominent elements being displayed in the beige colour, namely the system title (Nintendo 64), available games (26 in this mockup, although not all are shown), and a list of games. In particular, Cruis'n USA is highlighted, and marked as a favourite (with a star), and is also currently selected. The right half of the screen shows selection information, in this case the year of release, the company who produced the game (no publisher info as of right now), a selection of tags (in this case, N64, 1-2 Players, Port, Racing were selected), and a placeholder description. See the first image. The only difference is the colours being pure black and white instead. See the first image. The only difference here is the colours being a light blue and a dark purple instead.

some favourites from a recent shoot that i've edited/graded

i started this a few months ago (right after the deltarune hype i think, early july) and nicknamed it "amaranth castle", but i don't think i will finish it. i still think it's cool that sgm and other free/stock stuff have so much versatility (when used right)

A partial screenshot of the TCRF page for The Legend of Zelda (NES), it highlights how bold text is rendered with a different font (in this case Algerian rather than Arial) resulting in very weird looking text. It might be funny but it also is annoying at the same time. The browser also uses a dark theme plugin to recolour pages so that it's white text on black backdrops (chalk on blackboard) rathern than the opposite.

A video listing (not public yet, of course) - there's a Mega Man thumbnail - dark blue backdrop, grid on the bottom, has a Mega Man logo in the modern Rockman Japanese style, with the letters SPC appended at the end, and "STYLE" just below it, all in fancy shining text. Just above the logo are 5 normal coloured Mega Man sprites from Mega Man 7 - sliding, standing, jumping, shooting and lastly, damaged. Right, so this is a picture of a Yamaha DX7s. Yep. I know it says Ensoniq SQ80 "Digital programmable waveform synthesizer" on the actual picture, but stick with me for a bit, mkay? So I have been a bit devious. Malicious, even. Delightfully devilish, Seymour. And decided that I'd recreate the sort of logo style the DX7s (and later Yamaha synths of the 80s) had, but with the Ensoniq SQ80 text on it instead. All vectors, baby! This sucked to do. Genuinely.
