Whether more follow in the footsteps of Marjorie Taylor Greene, whose political career rose in prominence based on her promotion of QAnon conspiracy theories and who in recent days disavowed those views upon her decision to retire from Congress, remains to be seen.

It is important to remember that 8 in 10 QAnon believers voted for Donald Trump in 2024, and many continue to Trump as a mythological figure, and may be more likely to interpret Trump’s actions in such a way that comports with those views or give him a bigger pass.
