It never ceases to maze me how somehow men assume we women don't have a brain. I was mansplained to at length this afternoon. The gentleman informed me I didn't have basic knowledge about a subject I happen to be very familiar. 🤷♀️. That I need to talk to an expert.

Hi, one gripe I have had about socials is that you can only have friends. In real life I have many more relational types than just friend. Can we get an acquaintance category? People/subjects I find interesting but don't necessarily need to see every post. Just a thought 🤔.

I am still here, smiling even, in spite of the constant looming fear of doom. I have been operating in a fog, I can barely concentrate on what I need to do. I haven't felt this much anxiety about life since I put things in motion to come out of the closet.

A weekend to myself. Mostly just relaxing, looked for some new fits, and working on a project. I got the slacks and green top 😁

And dinner is served. I wish we could find better tomatoes in our area so we could have red sauce instead of orange, but it was awesome. It's all gone. 😋💕

Almost there! Sauces ready. Smells and tastes wonderful. Pasta rolled out and waiting on the water to boil.

Making fresh spaghetti sauce and pasta for dinner. Pasta dough is chillin in the refrigerator. Tomatoes, onion, garlic, and cheese rind in the pot and starting to smell good. Basil will go in, in a bit when puree the tomatoes. 😋.

Picture from yesterday, I had to go get poked by the vampires for lab work 😞. This morning I am just watching the couple of little clouds in the sky float by and praying they turn into some rain 🌧️. I miss rain. First weekend off in I don't know how long and I don't know what to do with myself.

This morning's creation. A Tanzanian spice cake with, chia buttercream frosting, and dark chocolate chips sprinkled on top. I usually do a brown butter frosting with this cake but decided to try something new.

Hi, I was on vacation the week before last. There was no Internet where we were. In spite of knowing that the assaults on the LGBT+ community didn't miraculously cease, I cannot overstate what unplugging for a week did for my mental health. I highly encourage you all to unplug every once in a while
