The reason that the US (world police) needs an overblown military is now apparent — most presidents are people that other countries would love to extradite and charge, but America is a safe haven for anyone who would get screwed by the idea that with more power comes more responsibility.

We will probably never see activists who are as willing to fight as they were during the civil rights era, and the culprit isn’t the CIA or mass surveillance, it’s something we are all too familiar with. What used to make sense from the standpoint of injustice is now intolerable thanks to marketing
