There's something so nostalgic about the story of this game that's a little hard to place. The down to earth nature, the personal stakes, the lighthearted structured journey of steady personal progression... Maybe it kinda takes me back to watching the Pokemon anime as a kid.

It's so funny to me that a recurring problem for RGG is that they make characters too compelling and aren't prepared for fans to like them that much

(By which I mean they're my favorite and I really like them. I find presenting as a deranged hype guy over something niche really funny please don't come after me because I don't say "imo", for future reference too thanks)
Visual novels are the supreme storytelling medium. Literature is the most effective for depth and nuance, plus the tools given to enhance the atmosphere and control the pacing, structure that allows for long stretches of dialogue, nonlinear storytelling opening so many opportunities for depth

I don't understand how anyone can watch how blatantly Grok is manipulated to answer the way ownership desires it to and then act like the other LLM chatbots couldn't possibly be similarly but less obviously compromised to produce responses in whatever way corporate interests and priorities dictate.
