I love this series. Learning more about the myths is so interesting but hearing how these themes link through the ages to modern times is fascinating. And all with the added bonus of Alex' dreamy voice:-)

Just finished re-reading A Song for Arbonne by Guy Gavriel Kay. A wonderful author whose books haunt me when I finish so I have to leave space before starting something else. I'm looking at this thread for inspiration:-)

As someone with no writing ability but who loves to read, thank you for spending the time editing - it is so obvious when that hasn't been done and destroys any pleasure in reading that book.

When I was 7 my teacher read The Horse and His Boy to the class. I still remember the impact of that. My dad then recommended LOTR. He said I finished it and immediately read it again. I loved it so much that when my school gave me a book award for my O level results, I chose a new copy of LOTR.

I assumed it was a more recent term for a sub genre of sci fi where the future is an expanded version of the science of today. (Boy did that sound pretentious - sorry!)
