"Death of the Author" doesn't mean separating the author's bad behaviour from their art. It means taking away their authority and allowing readers to interpret the art based on their own perspectives. It doesn't absolve the author of being a bastard, in fact it may inform how you interpret the art.

In Dragon Quest XI, both Hendrik and Jasper are shown to speak formally to the point that their dialgoue contains barely any contractions except for when it would sound unnatural without it

Some of us have been advocating this going back since chatGPT launched. It also has other benefits: correcting someone else's work is actually a really good way to learn something yourself.
