As someone who wrote to Dad in Vietnam asking which side was winning (and telling him about my sister's new knee socks), lost a cousin there (Dominic Scatuorchio, 13W on the wall), and wore a POW bracelet for years (Lt. Col. Newk Grubb), this photo still makes me tear up. RIP, Col. Robert L. Stirm.

Yeah, you get to the point where names from your family jump out at you whether they’re in Cyrillic, Latin, or whatever. And I love it when that provide house numbers. Makes it so much easier to do a first pass plucking our relatives.
