Never considered myself a painter, by any means. Shaky hands, subpar fundamentals.

A friend stopped by and had the patience to teach slapshot, a bit of color theory, and a lot of brush technique.

After 5 hours, I think we did a pretty decent job. I did Cthulhu and Shoggoth.

Self hosting is a deep, dark, rabbit hole. But it does keep my mind sharp.

If you were interested in hosting your own sync service for Brave, this pretty much sums up what needs to happen to keep everything on your own server.

It is really that useful? Debatable.

Often, when we're experimenting & iterating toward a product vision, we forget that there are externalized costs of those efforts.

Some of these costs are insidious, only showing up when the bill due is very high. Others seem cheap but cost us a lot in the long run.
