Four years of hard work has finally paid off! I successfully defended my PhD dissertation yesterday and earned a statistics and college teaching certificate along the way. I am excited to enter the next chapter of my life as Dr. Clarke!!

When your hound dog wakes you up at 4AM and won’t let you sleep past 5:30, but decides he didn’t get enough sleep last night…

It’s fire season! We completed fires for our patch-burn grazing (PBG) treatments at the Central Grasslands Research Extension Center. Our research shows that PBG can blend conservation and livestock production for a win-win solution in working landscapes.

Hey everyone! I recently migrated (bird pun intended) to bluer skies and figured I’d introduce myself!

I’m a PhD student at NDSU examining grassland bird responses to prescribed fire and unique grazing practices that balance production and conservation. I look forward to sharing my field work!
