In my culture, we offer a spirit meal to honor the lives of those that have passed. This is the first time I’ve done this for a long time friend, Chris. Rather than a meal, I placed out a scotch on the rocks and some of his favorite comic books.

I didn’t DM at PAXU this weekend, but I was in Philly …and I did get to watch an old troop of mine marry the love of his life and embark on a new adventure together… there were readings from The Hobbit..and I ate at Time Burger!!

FRPG Player Tip: Never be afraid to ask out loud, “I wonder if what’s going on in the campaign is _____?” Knowing what you and your character are thinking will help the GM fine-tune the story as it unfolds — or might even inspire them to take a different approach based on your speculation.

Reached out to an old supervisor to ask if she’d supervise my contact hours for independent mental health practicioner licensure. She asked what insurances I wanted to get certified under. I said, “None, I want to help folks pro bono or sliding scale.” Her response? “Why does that not surprise me?”
