Schumer must stand down. He is an inept (at best) orator, an embarrassment at rallying the base (e.g. the rally on the steps of the treasury, and a lousy strategist. He is incapable of extemporaneous impassioned speech. He is just the wrong person to lead Senate Democrats in this existential crisis.
