Heck it! Recap!!!

After discovering that an imp was responsible for the smugglers always being two steps ahead of us, the gang managed to finally get one over on them. We then learned the plot. The smugglers intend to use the Gallagio's sprinkler system to mass expose an entire crowd to black blood for some sick experiment. (The prelude to whatever the smugglers were doing to the other cities with their smuggling operations).

We rescued the real Steven Inches from the tunnels beneath the city. He was being pursued by a Lurid Beast, which Cynya took out. What was that doing there...? How do these things connect to high concentrations of black blood...?

After getting into the Gallagio, we encountered the smugglers talking amongst themselves, along with a fire elemental in the guise of a goblin. Apparently Markus is with someone who mentioned the 'veins of the world'. Fieraden was sceptical of this person's power to get to the 'heart'.

But Pistonwhirl- who was guised as Steven Inches was curious. Either way, they'd get to a 'source'.

Gazrik's daughter went on stage. She's very talented! Unfortunately, she's being used as a scapegoat and the trigger to enact the smugglers' plans. Veznix and the others met up with her. Unfortunately, she recognised Gazrik and hesitated with helping everyone. That was until Lash was pulled into the room by the elemental- her father. Fieraden also entered the room, ready to kill the gang.

Having been discovered, Gabbi turned on the smugglers and told Veznix to lure the fire users into the aquarium space behind them. There, Veznix tampered with the sprinkler system while we held them off. Unfortunately, during the fight, the aquarium broke, causing a flash flood and horribly injured Ayako.

Just as Fieraden was about to bring down her blade upon Ayako, Cynya plunged her blade into the dark iron's back, killing her..., At least, we hope...
With Fieraden dead, but Gabbi due to perform any minute. Veznix finished tampering with the sprinklers and we rushed down to the stage to confront 'Steven Inches'

Despite having several broken ribs, Ayako found the strength to confront the false showman, revealing his identity to the crowd. He was in fact Professor Vanderscrew Pistonwhirl!

To further prove it, Cletus used the shadow to force the man to come clean. He turned off his illusionary device, revealing he was a gnome.

Gazrik called the real Steven Inches (an accomplished mage) to reveal himself to seal the deal. The wizard teleported onto the stage, transported our weapons through a portal and just as we were about to lay the beatdown...

10 to 25 heroes burst through the door and started wrecking up the place. The liberation of Undermine had begun. In the chaos, Professor Pistonwhirl escaped, rushing to the Vatworks where we confronted him a final time. He revealed his hatred for all those born of the curse of flesh, and proclaimed the goblins nothing more than mimiron's test subjects.

So he belived he was entitled to treat goblinkind the same way...

We layed the absolute smackdown upon him and during the scuffle, his hoverbelt malfunctioned and he ended up crashing into the floor and overpowered by Cynya.

Midaroth tied him up, Ayako's injuries got the better of her, and the Baron sent aid. He had to leave, because while we were dealing with Pistonwhirl, Jastor Gallywix was killed and the entire city now needs a serious adjustment period.

Ayako and the others returned to the hotel to recover from their injuries and Pistonwhirl has been placed under arrest by the Blackwater Cartel, awaiting questioning.

This will always be the best Gazrik face I've ever drawn and it peeves me to no end that I've never been able to come close to replicating it >:/
