probably more eyeballs in general; maybe grow the general audience for Tru w/ a premier property; perhaps having an outlet on standby for game 2 if they run into a weather delay or long overtime in game 1?

They might have different ad inventory too, I don't know if the same ones air on each network

This is because they respect the viewers! They make the assumption that viewers are not dumb and can see what's happening without incessant chatter and hype; moreover letting huge moments unfold without words so we can get the feel of what it's like being in the arena or stadium

If you want an overmodulated, bloviated call of the game, turn down your TV and turn on a radio broadcast, especially a local team's iteration. In television, the announcers let the pictures speak for themselves
