All true, and not a dig at Bud. Loved it when he joined and gave no quarter to anyone who said it was too hard to pitch in CO. Warren had better result with same raw materials over a very small sample size. Maybe Warren will fail with a true MLB-quality team, but he earned the opportunity to try

I hear you, Mark. Very much a difficult year on the horizon for Warren, but he has already out-performed Bud the Boomer with the same raw materials. Now he has improved org to give him better tools and clear culture. For 26 either guy pushing 100 loses, I prefer the guy who will benefit in 27 & 28

I hear you, Mark. Very much a difficult year on the horizon for Warren, but he has already out-performed Bud the Boomer with the same raw materials. Now he has improved org to give him better tools and clear culture. For 26 either guy pushing 100 loses, I prefer the guy who will benefit in 27 & 28
I know this is super-ageist but I would rather have a 40-year old who is growing into the job and can be with the team for a while than a well-qualified 65-year old taking his last few trips around the bases

It’s a good move. Someone who can grow as the team grows, evolve with the new culture, and who isn’t likely to make it about himself like these guys who just churn through org after org. Will be great to see him be the beneficiary of the changes to come
