Games that have stood up to time well have been the Wadjet Eye and other AGS ones. I'd never played A Golden Wake before, but that was really good and a great history lesson. And the Blackwell series has been oh so good still! Also, playing them with Dave Gilbert's commentary has been awesome! 3/3

The 3D Tex Murphy games are pretty unplayable due to their low resolution and wild mouse controls (came out before Half-life WASD and mouse-look). The only one I got working well was the kickstartered Tesla Effect (2014), and it was fun and funny but in a so bad it's good sort of way. 2/3

Need a respite from the craziness of the world? I've been revisiting old adventure games. Some haven't held up well; some are still amazing. The Secret Files games' interface still works well, but the tiny resolution and atrocious writing really hinder the series. 1/3

I only slapped my face three times and frantically threw my arms around and then covered my head with my blanket once before I realized the mosquito I was hearing was actually someone using a saw outside.

tfw you prep a packet very carefully, literally a decade in the making, to send to a courthouse in LA, mail it yesterday and realize today that you forgot to include the processing fee

I've accepted a position to teach in the Media Technology and Learning program at Appalachian State University starting in August! It'll be great to come home to education while still focusing on games and new media! Thanks to everyone for all the help along the way!

There's some weird bug I've had for over a year where Epic says Dragon Age Inquisition is installed but it isn't and hasn't been in a long while. I assume there's some broken link between it and the EA app. To get rid of it, I'm finally installing it again just so I can uninstall it.

While working on a job talk, I've been doing the Heisei series of Godzilla movies that feature the psychic Miki (six movies from 1989 to 1995), sort of hoping there was some continuity... There isn't really, but dang these are fun dumb movies. Highly recommend!

My first two gunplas! 1st is what they recommend 1st: HG RX-78-2 from original series. 2nd one is RG Astray Red Frame that is supposedly a really complicated one before they improved the RG frame design but was honestly not that bad!
