My ongoing project, Collatz Conjecture Simulator, has been going well so far! As of current, it's consistently able to check about 1.5 billion values per second on my M3 MacBook Air. Yet it's still GPU-bound, so I need to speed up the compute shaders before anything else.

This has to be the most Australian thing I've seen in a good while.

You know what I just noticed?
When I see "btw", my head reads it as the words "by the way".
When I see "fyi", my head reads it as the letters "f-y-i".
Why can't my head just pick a style and stick with it!?

What started with me trying to teach myself OpenPGP and GnuPG led to a spiral of research piecing together what on Earth happened to keyservers, and has now resulted in my attempt to propose a new design outline for a keyserver network. Feel free to provide feedback!

After programming as a hobby in C++ and then in C, I can confidently say C is significantly better suited for me. For someone who values low-level control and comprehension, C effortlessly satisfies this desire, while C++ seems to incentivise over-abstraction, hindering this low-level understanding.

Never thought I'd love subaddressing so much! Figured I'd try it out, and subsequently have been steadily switching my accounts' emails to local-part+account@domain. It's just so convenient having distinct emails for correspondingly distinct purposes, yet all still encompassed as one email address!

I feel if I tend to post what I'm interested in, my abundance of disparate interests will cause my account to become an amalgamation of a multitude of seemingly unrelated topics. Politics, philosophy, mathematics, programming, Omori, art, etc.
Currently contemplating whether I should embrace this.

Suppose I should finally say something, hey?
Heya all! Name's Seth. Great to be here, part of this rapidly growing yet positive and engaging community. Bluesky has hitherto shown to be a promising platform fostering compassion and consideration, and I hope we can together maintain this environment.
