Dog Dad, husband, human dad, fan of LFC, NYM. Music and books are good. My wife wishes I would watch more tv with her. I just bought a record player, so all my disposable money goes towards buying LPs.
100%. I take the train to work a few times a week. I’m an oldish person,
so I read a book while listening to Apple Music. But most others on the train, morning and afternoon, are watching vids on TikTok or Insta. Almost no one is on Twitter. Maybe some older than me are on Facebook, but eh.

It's never not a bad time to listen to it. It's a given that if they're touring in the area my wife is expecting us to go.

And they always put on a fun show. Possibly the most fun I had at a big "rock" show was seeing them before Sam's Town came out at Webster Hall. They had the floor shaking.

MY 14 y.o. watches it. Too much, but that's another argument. He watches a few things, but he's disciplined enough to not use the algorithm. It's @weratedogs.com, because the dogs were good again, one very specific YT football guy, one for wrestling, and Simpsons. I consider us lucky.

Only the best and brightest. But at least Joey, for the most part, had a kind heart.

Until 20 minutes ago I had no clue that was directed by Rob Reiner. Also don’t realize how he went from Spinal Tap to A Few Good Men with no down movies in that (7?) year stretch. Sad thinking about the news.

I saw him debut but was leaving as a fan. Started watching a decade later. My nephew was a fan, so I took him to see Cena a couple of times. Checked out again. Then my son got into it, and him. Took him to see Cena at MSG last month. Was so loud. I was never a fan, but he connected with so many.

That was a crap ending. I get the need for them to protect Oba, and to keep Cody-Drew moving, but that was eh? Would have been fun if they let them restart.

I only have this one on LP now, but the summer before high school started we took a family trip to Williamsburg, VA. I had a Walkman and alternated listening to this, Green, and Eponymous. I said maybe a couple dozen words to my parents the drive down from NY. This band means a lot to me.

I still occasionally call our dog Apollo,l (been with us for three years now), Lucas. That was our previous one who we had to put down over four years ago. Always jarring when I do that.

At least the Wilpons were swindled by Madoff. They had an excuse. I was thinking the same as you the other day. Maybe Cohen is/was a fan, but was this just a play by a rich a** dude to get richer through a casino. Now that he gets that, does the team really matter?

Which would be such a Mets thing to happen.

I bought the original killer tomatoes a few years back as a goof. Showed it to my son, 10 or 11 at the time. He loved it. Still watches it every now and then. Hasn’t seen Return of the Killer Tomatoes though.

I hated it. Not because I didn’t want to help, I did. I just know nothing about HR. So it was just words. I was fearful of taking too much. Seems we didn’t since she managed to finish it. So guess all was good.

My wife just finished her Masters in HR. This was every paper. All had a page range and her drafts were always over. I’d come in before she’d submit and slash away. Kept her ideas but we tightened it. Always got it within the limits. Other classmates would get dinged on grading for going over.

Years ago my wife and I bought a combo vcr/dvd player. I keep wanting to get rid of it, but she doesn’t want to. Our wedding is still on a VHS tape and while we could convert, she hasn’t wanted to. So this is the only thing that plays them. Our son gets a kick out of watching it.

I know a couple and they are constantly building new courts in the town parks. My son plays soccer at one in Farmingdale, where they have a new court. Lessons there too. Same with Syosset-Woodbury, I think one in Massapequa.

On the bright side, the back page of the Post tomorrow should be fun again. Or not fun. I mean I just don't know. Going to bury my head in the sand and wait until I forget about this.

Schwarb's is a DH, Alonso right now still wants to play 1B. I'd want him to stay, but he needs to realize that he's going to be more useful to the team in a role like Schwarb's. I think the Schwarber contract was done first because he's established as a DH. It's like a David Ortiz contract.

VVD is the worry. If he's not as quick, he needs to be smarter. But would that work the way the team plays? If they're a high line, him being smarter and dropping deeper doesn't seem to fit. Everything changes, and at that point, does he fit within the team?
